For Vera’s last couple of days in Sendai she needed her last minute gift shopping and so a visit to a local outlet shopping and a local temple were necessary. Also during this time we reencountered a friend who invited us for a Japanese tea party in a temple in Northern Sendai an undoubtedly extraordinary experience.
The first place I had to explore at that time was Kawauchi. It was a typical Japanese suburb. The little houses and the thick green gave it a really charming feeling.
Sendai was the best I could have ever experienced in Japan. I think that my relationship with Japan would have been totally different had I stayed somewhere else.
